It's not even 2014 yet, so there could still be some changes left to be made. Entries drop out of the championship and driver lineups change constantly -- I wouldn't be surprised if the driver lineup got switched around before Silverstone. Slightly off-topic but what are we expected the car numbers to be? I'd expect #5 and #6, like Penske's old ALMS LMP2 cars. |

I don't think Porsche will be able to just pick the numbers they want.
Most likely it will be: 1. Audi 2. Audi 3. Audi (2 races) 4. Toyota 5. Toyota 6. Toyota (2 races, fingers crossed) 7. Porsche 8. Porsche |

Toyota will probably stick with their numbering. I think the #7 is good fortune in their view.

Well, Audi will have 1,2,3, locked out. Toyota have shown they like 7&8.
So # 4,5, and 6 seem logical? No? |

Could be, plus Rebellion will likely continue with 12 and 13. P1's are only allowed numbers from 1 to 22 (+\- 1, I can't remember). So they don't have to many possibilities. They did have successes in the US with 14 many moons ago...

This may just be my personal desire/preference about Le Mans history speaking but... #20, #21, and #22 don't seem too far from the realm of possibility, don't you think? Perhaps they will re-visit those numbers...considering the significance. |

Yeah but that was just so it could test tires
It shouldn't be there this year so Porsche should be fine if they want 4/5/6 |

I'd like to see #17, #18 (and #19 if necessary), like in their last Group C win.

I've always been a fan of Porsche and have had huge respect for them. As much as I'd love to see Porsche greatly upset Audi next year at Le Mans and the WEC overall, I feel that would be asking for too much. I think it will mainly be a learning year for them. So that leaves it to Toyota in my opinion as having a bigger chance than Porsche to upset Audi. Hopefully the addition of Porsche to the championship is enough of a distraction for Audi to help Toyota get an upper hand. Then in 2015 is when things will get even more interesting. |
