The commentators (mainly Skaife) will contradict the DSO though, which is strange given the above comments, not to mention quite damaging from a "PR" point of view.
Maybe it's more a personal issue/lack of tact on Mark's behalf? |

Well aware the commentary team toe the line.
Never a good thing but no surprises. I guess I missed the topic being brought up at the desk. They can't have had much to say. You would have thought the topic was more than worthy of discussion. |

Didn't Holden get a pole and a win on the weekend?

Presumably because they wanted to have the least amount of additional weight in the top of the cars and having lead strapped to the inside of the cabin roll cage with hose clamps was not the long term solution they wanted.
This tidies it up for everyone and is safer. |

Nothing to see here.........other than the complete initial over-reaction of course. |

But they aren't at this stage, are they? Knickers been twisted substantially here for no reason whatsoever.

The article says that "The latest tweaks sees all the ballast removed from Holden while 9kg of ballast will be removed from the roof and composite parts will be replaced by steel roof beams in the Mustang." Is this just poor writing or what?
If this Is true, the Mustang Is still being penalized. |

w"ith the 6.8kg of ballast removed from the roof of the Commodore and nine of the 28kg taken away from the Mustang.
The Mustang will run steel beams in place of the 9kg of removed ballast." 6.8 removed from commo 9 removed from the funny car 9 put back in a different (lower) spot on funny car |

The ZB loses 6.8,the mustang loses 9 with the remaining weight converted into steel in the roof and maintains the current CoG parity between makes. To quote the supercars article: “The repositioning maintains the current CoG balance between all makes and has an equal effect on performance for all.” Last edited by Jam3s; 9 Jul 2019 at 09:21. |

Definitely some poor writing involved, almost implies there WAS a CoG differential change... actually, I'm still not sure... Is there a Supercars press/technical release? Would be much clearer and more technical than the above rubbish Last edited by Compromised; 9 Jul 2019 at 20:44. |
