I assumed he would've shown a tad more caution this time, considering it was his team mate.

Or Frosty Punts Reynolds. Or. Frosty's Points Reduced.
Never mind gold, this was ****ing platinium. Seeing FPR **** away 2, perhaps 3 podiums was a treat. Only FPR could parley 3 out of 4 places into nothing out of 10 places.. And chief appoligist Edwards gets the Dick Johnson Memorial Whinger award for his rant. FPR? More like FFS. |

According to the commentary, they're ALL top-level drivers.
There's nearly always multi-car carnage at HV, regardless of format. It's the nature of the track, really. |

Jamie Whincup the best driver of all time, hope your enjoy seeing one of the greatest drivers in Aus duking it with the top level drivers, while racing in one of the most competitive era's in V8's. current champions include Lowndes, Courtney, Tander, Ingall, Kelly.

IMO Gisbergen had the drive of the race. Battling hard with Coultard there for a while was exciting and intense. The rivalry between these two is just something else.
Then to keep fairly well out of trouble (I admit I missed a few laps at the 2nd half start) and get past the two squabling Ford's was something else!!! Also good to see Mr Webb back near the pointy end like he was in Texas. Mike |

After yesterdays bump and grind, and some bizare approvals from V8 officials, todays qual is and intersting mix again, and FPR seemed not to have lost any speed

What about #18... it is pretty much speed free, despite the press releases pumping up the tyres before the weekend...

Waiting in anticipation to see if TSR posts the results of race 3 as quickly as he did for race 2 ? Waiting..waiting........ Shame about the lack of race laps in race 3, however a pretty good weekends racing with multiple winners.

There were some very hurt cars, so in a way its better to have happen during R3 than R1 of the weekend... A couple of squads were planning to continue on to Townsville without going back to home base... wonder if the crash and bash will make them rethink that Meantime, was it odd that the V8SC commentary team were in the TDR bunker, yet Mr Crompton went out of his way to ignore the team during his pit walk today, and generally the coverage ignored the car across the weekend? Well done to Erebus AMG... they are getting faster.. and should be real weapons come the enduros |

I think that Mr Webb kept under the radar and drove extremely well all weekend. Top points for the round and brought the car home in one piece, Can't do much better that that.

3 key penalties from the weekend
Frosty turns around a "team mate" while going for a pass. both drivers continue racing but with loss of spots. Penalty drive through resulting in a bout a 20 spot drop or about 60 points whincup, spins wheels a bit early. Penalty drive through loss of 20 positions or about 70 points lowndes. drives into back of car in front of him, results in his nearest opponent in the championship getting a DNF and damages a number of other cars. Penalty loss of 15 points in the championship. I really fail to understand how these penalties can be so inconsistant. Surely Lowndes should have lost a similar number of points to the other two (the equivelent of a drive through) I dont believe the fixed point penalty system is working correctly. also why is it only triple 8 and FPR who get caught spinning the wheels? Is it because they are the ones the tv cameras are on? |

I honestly don't believe they should be using the telecast as evidence for wheel-spinning during pitstops, when only a handful of cars actually have their stops televised.
Surely there'd be enough sensors on the car that they can correlate, to detirmine any wheel-spin breaches? |
