P1 needs to be split in the same way as GTLM and GTAM are - with P1 Manufacturere and P1 Privateers. WEC seems to be heading this way and it is the right thing to do. Providing there are at least 2 manufacturers the privateers shouldn't compete with them as they can't compete with the R & D development.
It would be great if there was enough interest in P1 for it to be allowed into TUSCC and I am sure it would be considered from 2016 onwards if enough teams wanted to enter |

The DP teams will not be disenfranchised - the new class will be something affordable - like P2, I could envision NASCAR even continuing with a non FIA class rather than increase costs - they don't believe in the Le Mans connection other than marketing. |

The top class in 2017 will be shared with whatever P2 becomes in the ACO's eyes.

You should look at some facts. 90liter tank vs 110liter for porsche. Even bigger for Viper. A .1mm difference in restrictor size. Same 1225kg weight. How would you feel after the race when your average top speed was 177mph vs 181mph for the others? Then you get 20liters less fuel and can only do less laps per stint? Aston has a budget, but theyre not as big as Vette or Porsche. Their lineup was great btw. At least they showed up and want to race. Its called ballance of performance for a reason, its suppose to be ballanced

So is anyone else interested in what the Coyote DP bodywork is going to look like? Marshall Pruett hinted awhile back it will be more LMP than DP.
Wouldn't it be something if that car takes Sebring? |

In TUSC the aston is 20kg lighter (1225 vs 1245), has same restictors (2x 29.7mm), same gurney (15mm), has 5 Liters more fuel in WEC (95 vs 90), TUSC has a refueling flow restrictor and the aston has a smaller restrictor than the corvette and viper but bigger than the porshce, ferrari, and bmw. The one area that is very different is the rear wing height. In WEC the wing is 100 mm below roofline, but in TUSC it is listed as+100mm (same as the BMW). Of course the other big difference in TUSC is that all the other cars carry 20 more liters of fuel than the aston. So if IMSA were to give Aston more fuel they should be able to compete (driver lineup not withstanding). |

Anyone know why Spirit of Daytona removed its C7 style headlight overlays?
