I would educate a guess that the car will be the same as Mat and Martins.
Otherwise they will have to redesign the front aero parts and carry more spares to meetings. |

Any predictions for this weekend?
I reckon winners will be Turkington, Austin and Hill, and Shedden won't be leading the standings after this weekend (or at least I hope he's not!) |

Golf has moved on from Tiger Woods, Football from Beckham, Tennis from Becker. It happens and it is better to see sporting stars retire with dignity than struggle beyond the point they are competitive. Is the BTCC suffering because Cleland, Soper or Rouse aren't driving any more? |

Assuming he is given the drive, it's going to be interesting watching Butcher in the Focus. He's a very capable GT driver, and knows Knockhill better than anybody. He should be fairly spectacular to watch through the chicane as well! |

ATS will race this week in Lloyd's MG damaged at Thruxton. So am I right in saying that both the MGs have sustained heavy damage previously?
Looking forward to seeing how Brett Smith performs as well. |

All three of them have been damaged. Josh Cook is in the car heavily damaged at Snetterton last year.

So the back-to-back testing has been done. The cars are different, with Sutton saying he likes the feel of Plato's rear end (innuendo bingo). What they haven't revealed is whether despite the differences, Plato's car is proven to be slower. It still doesn't look promising though, because the only definite is that Plato is still in a car he is not happy with, and they haven't fixed the problem.

I am looking forward to seeing how Brett goes too, hopefully he won't be far behind Goff and hopefully Butcher will be in the third Motorbase car at Knockhill

I was lead to believe Ash was faster in both cars, although yes, both feel slightly differently. Given how yes have seen some spectacularly destructive crashes of NGTC cars since it's inception, and after heavy rebuilds, they have still managed to perform as they did prior to whatever crash they had, I'm still doubtful of this whole Brands damage reasoning. If he was doing 100mph arrow straight into the wall, yes I'd buy it, but 65-70mph in a sideways slide into the wall... I'm also doubtful of the whole Jason can't do RWD business, as last year he seemed to get far better results. I think it's a combination of many things, the weight added, the higher front suspension, the addition of a fearless ring it's neck talented team mate, the departure of the best RWD driver, a lack of funds, the loss of the best RWD engineer and a staff reshuffle. All from the comfort of my armchair. I await a flaming... |

It does also say that they are still searching for the problem - so results at Snetterton should continue as previous rounds. The factors you list (along any number of others) could all be contributing to the differing success within the squad. What is certain is that the entire outfit (BMR/888) have at least three and possibly four heavily damaged and compromised cars but are still to replace any of them. |

There was one session in the test where Plato was the fastest of all the Levorg drivers but in all the others there was a big gap to Sutton. I wonder if that was the session where they swapped.
Seems a bit weird that even the gearchange is behaving differently between the two cars. |

Time for BMR to buy some lottery tickets and cross fingers maybe.
Or use Ash and the good car to pull off a post office blag! |

I wonder whether Price will now be totally ignored in the Plato/Flux blog? |

This is a strange one, normally you would have category exclusivity in sponsorship deals, so strange to see a competing insurance broker on the Subaru.

Perhaps Price's backers only had the funds for this half of the season.

It seems strange that they waited to the second half of the season. If they have been in place to back Price since the start of the season, they've allowed him to run under a rival sponsor's banner so far as opposed to the academy?

If you look at the livery of his Clio in preseason testing, it was a similar colourscheme with sponsors.

Andy Blackmore made reference to potential colour changes in his blog post showcasing the new livery earlier in the year so perhaps this had been on the cards since the start.

Well wasn't it always the case he was gonna be run under a separate banner from the other BMR drivers?

Or perhaps Adrian Flux weren't happy with the Subaru's disappointing performance so far and cut funding? Ingram fastest in FP1 - looks to be back on form so far. |
