You gotta do it soon, you know it makes sense.
Checked Bertie after his gear selection probs at Brands and found a split plastic cup thingy that sits in the linkage. Couple of quid for a replacement but untold grief if I'd forgotten about it before his next outing. |

Yeah pull your finger out Woody. It'll be the Xmas soon and then the do and we'll still be telling you to go and get it out of the truck. Then you'll think "It's only 2 months til Lydden" and leave it.
If you need new stickers let me know. Same for all of you. |

Calendars will be on sale (for £8 each) at the Excel show on stand No.30 (BARC south east). If people want to order copies who are not going, let Chezza, Jon or me know. They will cost an extra £2 each to post.

Thanks Shawn,
Am I right in reading that as DMN will be 10 seperate meetings and Tin Tops will be at 6 different meetings? I can start haggling for time off at work if I know. Many thanks, Sam |

That correct, with the addition that the tin-tops will also be at Lydden on 6th September so that is 7 rounds.

Indeed, same format as 2007, practice and 2 races, it works well for us and if people have a disaster in qually you can make up places in race 1 and have an excellent race 2 and if they have a bad race 1 then they have a 2nd chance in race 2!

I agree that the format works. It is also beneficial from a spectating viewpoint if there is a fairly consistent structure to each meeting. It makes the championship easier to understand and follow, thus cementing its popularity.
The clarity of a championship's points system is also important. I like the current system, as it rewards most of the finishers with points, rewards the top finishers (i.e. the increments decrease the lower down the order a driver finishes) and it takes into account the number of drivers competing in each class. As well as this, it means that competitors in all classes could take the title (as an aside, who thought up the current system? Is it taken from another series?). The only drawback with the current system is that it's not completely simple to follow for a casual spectator (the easier it is to quickly calculate a points table, the more a spectator can follow a championship battle, thus the more involved they'll feel and the more they'll follow a championship throughout the season). I've tried hard to think of an improvement on the current system (one that marries simplicity with meeting all competitor's needs) but nothing comes to mind that I can suggest. Probably best left as is...! |

The current points, both in class by class format and overall are always on Rods site a day or so are each round has taken place.
Obviously no good for the spectator trackside but a good point of reference never the less. We try our best to make it easy to follow, especially for the drivers, but if there is anything else you can think of let us know and I'm sure it can be included on one of the two websites. |

We are always open to suggestions for the points, websites, classes or anything.
