When will these clapped out PMR astras be too old to be eligible for entry? We must be near the end of the eligibility for the model?

The Astra that PMR use only stopped being produced and sold last year when the new Astra was introduced So the current Astra would be eligible until 2027 |

Would be quite a letdown if Proctor was in PMR but that's still a lot lot better than not being on the grid at all!

Thanks for the information, as I've often wondered that.

Hopefully we'll get more announcements this coming week. I have a feeling we might see Parker return

My thoughts as well. Team Parker are entering multiple cars in PCCGB and Sprint Challenge GB, with single-car Porsche 911 (992-spec) GT3 entries in the Le Mans Cup and GTWCE Endurance Cup, and some scheduled appearances in Carrera Cup Benelux.

It looks like Nic has full membership, which the committee is able to award in exceptional cases for drivers who haven't achieved the necessary results, but who are extraordinary. So Nic's sim racing or racing with a disability could both be taken into account. |

The stories about him racing, getting dislocated ribs put back in, then flying off to do public speaking about his condition and racing, then doing that on repeat for the whole season is remarkable for someone with his condition. Deserves the credit the BRDC have given him.

Strange a year ago there was no entries available and it was said they were worth money and one year on they cannot be given away

I would like to see more teams coming in. We've got a good bunch of teams atm, but there could be room for a few more

There aren't many spare (current spec) cars available so whoever acquired the TBL would need to built something new. That's not the work of a moment and takes a sizable investment, and no team will have that amount of spare cash laying around. If the TBL was available at the end of last season then it would have given potential buyers chance to speak to sponsors/investors and put a funding package together. If the decision wasn't made until Jan/Feb this year, then realistically it's probably too late for anyone to do anything. |

You are always going to have transitory seasons, and it seems like 2023 will be one.
Prospective entries will now know there is capacity on the grid and can look to 2024. |

Yea I seem to recall after the heady highs of 2004 the 2005 BTCC grid looked pretty threadbare.
