I have just listen both the memorial service and tribute, very moving and a amazing man, he will be sadly missed.

Richard was one hell of a talent, and a great sportsman, and a worthy champion. he will be sadly missed.

RaceCar Engineering, Feb 2006, p.40. Article on side impact collisions and new ideas on protection.
Main illustration is of a very badly crashed rally Mitsubishi (Engine in the gutter), marshals and rescue all around, member of crew on floor, being comforted/helped by Richard Burns. He's in different overalls, so he must have stopped to help. Typical of the man. John |

The BRDC have paid tribute to Richard by posthumously awarding him the Innes Ireland Trophy for courage and sportsmanship. Very appropriate.
