Congrats to Mark Martin for the win. It was a wild race the last several laps.
It was bad that Joey Logano took out Sam Hornish Jr. earlier on too. I saw no need for that. Like Sam said, he didnt know why he was racing so hard. |

I wonder if Jr will make The Chase next year? It has been a rip-roaring success with the best team in the business so far...
Jr Nation must hellavu confused. The irrefutable mega-genius of Jr as a driver coming together with a pretty good team, and yet things have been less than spectacular. I suppose they'll just keep wanting Crew Chiefs changed, largely unwilling to accept the driver might be part of the problem. |

Well, it does seem as if Hendrick struggle to keep all 4 cars at the top. It was the same for Mears last year, which helps his standing a bit
Given that Childress have struggled to keep any of their 4 cars at the top, you have to wonder whether the idea of having bigger teams has peaked and smaller teams are the way to go once again. Too much of a stretch of resources in these troubled times... I don't think Dale Jr is a driving god like some of his fans think, but he's certainly no slouch. He deserves to be in the top 20 at least |

Best race at ChicagoLand in quite some time, those last 15-20 or so laps were fantastic. Some of the drivers might not be ecstatic about it, but the double file restarts sure have made wonders for the racing.
Great to see Martin notch up another win, hopefully this marks the end of his recent string of bad luck. |
