This isn't far from the truth .....
In the May issue of 'Formula 1 Magazine', they compiled a list of the most powerful people in Formula One 2002 according to all the writers of the magazine. Even though it was compiled by relatively few people, you have to say that it is still a pretty acurate representation of the balance of power within F1. It makes interesting reading, especially when looking at the Top 10:
1. Michael Schumacher 2. Bernie Ecclestone 3. Luca Di Montezemolo 4. Max Mosley 5. Adrian Newey 6. Charlie Whiting 7. Ross Brawn 8. Flavio Briatore 9. Ekrem Sami 10. Jean Todt With the amount of power and influence that Ferrari has over the world of Formula One, can you really see any major action being taken against them when they appear in front of the FIA on 26th June ??? |

Gerhard Berger and Mario Theissen should be up there. I cannot think of a single team that wuould not give an arm to have that engine or the men who put the whole effort together so quickly.
Cheers, RT |
