Disaster! Hamilton ONLY came third!
After the Ferrari 1 - 2 at the French GP I cant help but get ****ed off by many of the comments people have made about Hamilton’s race.
As soon as I discussed the GP with some people at work one said "Hamilton did bad didn't he". Later I spoke with my boss who came out with almost the same words! After telling them that 3rd is a great achievement for the rookie, I still see and hear these negative annoying comments in the media. "Hamilton remains upbeat after he ONLY managed 3rd" "...despite him ONLY managing 3rd" Are people overshadowed by Hamilton’s ego? God only knows what the media are going to say when (not if) he makes a mistake and DNF! Rant over |

They're more to do with the unrealistic expectations of people who don't quite understand the sport. The Ferraris were unbeatable in France. 3rd was the best postition Lewis could have got from the car, barring retirements for Kimi or Felipe.. |

Theres a bad side to everything. It seems even Hamilton can be over-hyped by his locals, if you could call it that.

The people giving negative comments have proberbly jumped on the F1 band wagon with the arrival and excellent start to F1 for Lewis. I just hope the media/public dont put to much pressure on him when/if he doesnt win the British GP or he starts to have a bad run of results/luck as at some point it is bound to happen.
The ferraris in France were in a class of their own, even on a 3 stop strategy and therefore a much lighter fuel load lewis was no match for them. Maybe mclaren should have changed to a 2 stop strategy at the 1st stop. A few more races like this and we could have an interesting season. |

I wouldn't be surprised if he leaves Mclaren soon.
