Dual Mass Flywheels

Anyone know what the crack is with Dual Mass Flywheel's?

All I know is the one on my Audi A6 tow car has failed, and its £611 to replace it. Aside from giving Audi the opportunity to fleece me, anyone know what they're for?

THR has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
oooooooo they sound clever never knew they existed!!

so £611 sounds about right!! but u dead unlucky to need a new one!!! unless you or mrs slipps clutch a lot!! lol

personally i wouldnt let audi do it, cos it would cost too much lol.

supposedly they make for a smoother engine, but having driven zillions of beemers some with them and some without i've never noticed a difference, it just seems like a lot of stuff on modern cars,

One more thing to go wrong
