The TV will probably be better this year, as its in summer. And as for the Bates/Adderton rumours, just speculation, they drove the car in 1997 with the same team, why not again, everyone says its stupid Morris not racing, what about Mark Adderton, his brother Peter has a bit to do with the series.

Is Mal Hemmerling still involved in the ASTC.

I'm sure Hendo would have run his own car, if he wasn't saving his pennies for an apparent Konica series run next year..

Morris definately wont be starting, but at one stage there was a chance of them building a fleet of Toca Tourers and leasing them out, but that aint going to happen now. Apparently there are 17 FTs in existance/under construction...whether any of them turn up is another matter...

With Morris not starting, then who exactly will be racing in the championship this year. Of those TOCA Tourers, i'll bet we will never see about 5 or 6 of them, and how many of them are cars not of a Ford or Holden.

And QR didn't attract a huge crowd in 1999.

Hehe...I've got a photo of a friend from that meeting...the only person sitting in the rather massive, free grandstand

Yeah I remeber that meeting , it had great racing and passing, something not existent there at a V8 meeting. It was a good round that one. So is Morris definately out is he, do you have a press release or anything. Does anyone have any concrete info about whether Hendo and the Hi tech men will be competing this year. So far I have counted 8 definate starters for the ST's, not including a 2nd Redline car or the 2nd Camry, also Claude Elias is trying to get there, but is in need of Sponsors.

99 QR: Jimbo came from behind to win the first race, but appart from that, it wasn't anything special...

I think i've been around this forum long enough not to trust anyone in here. The 99 round was still better than anything else that has raced around there. Start line prangs and Downard putting it on the roof and different winners, not special but great.
