BBC News 24 on Friday may be carrying something. Don't know any more than that.

Oh well, there's another Sport just signed itself out of Mass popularity by taking the Sky "Pound".
I thought this Ali Mactoum Ibrahim ali Ackbar chappie was an intelligent bloke until I found out he'd sold it to Sky. When will people understand that more TV money doesn't mean bigger overall takings. Sky TV = No "watercooler moments" = Smalltime public interest. Just look how much Boxing disappeared off the "Public interest Radar" in the 90's after it stopped showing on Terrestrial TV, and see how Cricket is starting to regret signing an exclusive deal with Sky after having their best Test series ever on Channel 4. Will they never learn...? |
