As have a number already mentioned!

Ironically it seems that there are more ex champs and 'names' eligible than lesser lights!!

Argentinean candidates for GP Masters

In Argentina many people want to see Carlos Reutemann doing a stint in GP Masters, but his career as a politician makes his agenda too busy to have spare time to return to auto racing.

The other bet could be Oscar Larrauri, he already did two F1 seasons (1988-89), and he's still racing in a top drive of the Top Race V6 touring car series in Argentina, so he could be capable to go back at the wheel of a formula car.

There is too Ricardo Zunino on the list, but he's completely out of motorsport business and turned his dedication to the tourism in his home province, San Juan.

I too would prefer his eminently more talented but less self-promoting erstwhile team-mate Mr Thackwell. But apparently he is disillusioned with the sport. Understandable when you see drivers with much less talent going further. Mike was born 20 years too late. He'd have been a WDC in the 60's for sure, accidents willing.

.
Is Poppi still racing? That guy never gives up. He was awesome in 962's in my opinion. Would be great if he was the Argentinian representative. On a slight tangent is Luciano Crespi still racing in Argentinian Touring Cars? Top bloke he was, hilarious chap.

Clay Reggazoni? They will have to build a car with hand controls for him but he will be quick.

M Schumacher? OK I know it will be a few years before he meets the age requirement but it would be really good to see him measured against some of the names above in the sort of car the Masters uses.

Regards

Jim
