"go show" resigns with yamaha....
anthony will be the only factory superbike rider in the ama in 2002, tommy hayden has been dumped..... anthony will also ride in the supersport class with his brother aaron as his team-mate, also with factory support
rumour had it that if yamaha usa could not sign a rider capable of winning, then they were going to pull out of the ama superbike championship all together and just race supersport....with harley davidson already pulling out of the superbike class the ama series could almost have been on shakey grounds |

I think you mean Gobert will be the only factory yamaha superbike rider. its good, but i was kinda hoping he go go world superbikes with suzuki, he would have got that bike up the front.
As for the series, the only factory team from the world supers not involved id Aprillia, and they might be getting involved next year anyway, plus they have yamaha, so if they lost them, it wouldn't be all bad, and they get like 45 bikes to each round, even though three quaters of the field, and nearly all the privateers ride suzuki's. |
