I might whack in a bid. I have this fun kind of russian roulette thing going on with ebay. I'll pick something reasonably expensive.. (£50 - £100) that I don't particularly want, I'll place a bid fractionally higher than the current winning one, to see if there is a proxy in already, if there is I bid up in small increments - until I bottle out - the idea is to bid far more than I can afford - and not win... last time I did it I got to £76 for a 1/18th JPM's 2000 Indy car... I didn't want it but my mate did... I should have left it there, but oh no, I had to bid again didn't I - so I won it - d'oh, waited weeks for it to come from the states and then gave it to my mate. Might all sound a bit odd... but after a few beers it's more fun than gambling.

I've come across that person before on ebay and decided....I wouldn't buy from them, even if I could afford it!

Hey, his feedback is good!
Matski, that is poor etiquette! Just reading some of the Q and A's he has posted.....there are some very disturbing questions, including one where someone claims to have a 40 stone girlfriend! |

To which the answer is almost certainly "no". Doesn't matter what the question was.
What I don't quite get with this is who in their right mind would buy anything supposedly worth several hundred grand off eBay? |

It is madness.
I limit myself to £100 on there these days after a certain incident a couple of years ago. £300 zillion blows the mind somewhat. |

Some of the questions are pearlers . It could be a 'promotional tool' for whoever runs flogit4u, there being no actual intention to sell the car.
