Ferrari's pit stop strategies

Ferrari has been known to be the team with the best pit-stop strategies in the past years.

I therefore find it very unusual for them to manage to ruin Rubens Barrichello's pit-stop for the third time this season.

I'm not talking about a conspiracy against Rubens here, that's incongruous.
But the team is obviously so very much concentrating on Michael Schumacher, they forget to take care of their second driver.
Or maybe it's a lack of discipline.

In Australia they called him in for a third pit-stop while there wasn't any need to do so.

At the Nurburgring there was too much confusion because Rubens got the order to come in at the moment he was past the pit entrance.

In Montreal he forced the team's hand because he insisted on a stop rather than lose time driving around on dry tyres on a wet track.
He asked to come in but there was silence on the radio for half a lap. He asked again and they said: "OK, but Michael's in."
Therefore the crew wasn't ready for him and the tyres had to be fetched from the back of the pit.

Isn't it time Ferrari got their thing together and starts concentrating on Rubens too?

Look, we KNEW this would happen. Rubens was NEVER going to be treated equally. And judging by this weekend's performance, Rubens could have won that race had he not been hampered by JV's BAR in the early stages.

Quite right. Rubens could have won if he at least had the tyres ready regarless of the fact that he had to wait in line for Schu to finish his pit stop. After all the race ended with Rubens trying to make the move on schu. But then again.....that was the same situation with Villeneuve and Zonta.

Anyway....Don't expect to see Ferrari paying more atention to Rubens. He's just not allowed to beat Schu. A shame....but he can't say that nobody warned him....

Michael would have won in Monaco if the suspension held-Michael would have won the TITLE in 98 had he not stalled-Michael would have won the WDC in 99 if Silverstone didnt turn away oh so suddenly-Michael would have won the WDC had he been given the F1-2000 in 96+97...!!!!!!!

JV's BAR was meant to be there (coz its a race u know!)
MAYBE the Dusbin should get up and run when the lites go off next time?????...instead of waiting for the BAR to give up (remember JV 'gave in'....Dusbin didnt succeed in his first try,) and close in when team-mate (in this case a double WDC) eases off towards the end!!!...

I have to say I was impressed with Martin Brundle's assessment of the situation.

He pointed out that Rubens had no indication from pit wall that his crew were ready for him, and that it was probably his own call to pit and wait for the tyres to be brought to him, rather than creep round on an increasingly slick circuit for another lap on dry tyres.

Mika Hakkinen chose the creeping round strategy, and I'd doubt that there was much difference in their respective times for that lap. Anyone happen to have a lap chart?

Come on guys! As we all learned yesterday, two cars have no room in pits in the same time. Either way, one of them would have been treated more equal than the other!

Well, as Ross Brawn knew already before Michael came in, Rubens was coming for a pit as well, how hard would it be for a well organised team to adapt to the situation and put Rubens' tireset ready behind the wheel-changers?
