I still use Photoguard...
All of last year and up to the present time I have been asked only once to provide proof of PLI! In fact I dont think I was actually asked for it, I produced it myself when signing on at 'Snetterton'. |

I think it's a bit of a grey area. For a race meeting I think you are covered anyway, but for test days and track days you aren't. Or something...

Hi Paul,
I've used Aaduki for the past two seasons of BSB. www.aaduki.com £96 for £5m for the year. Likewise, never been asked for it apart from one MSV trackday I was shooting at.....It's more of a "piece of mind" aspect you need to think about incase the unthinkable should happen. Regards, Guy |

For Lydden, I would say you can actually take quite good pictures from the spectator side!!

And Lydden have asked me for that before. I just said I didn't have it which I don't.
For MSV you are indeed covered when you're there on a race day but you will not be allowed trackside for a test day or trackday without it. JB |

Now I was led to belive PLI was needed for ALL events, especially at MSV?
Does this mean I can cancel my PLI as I dont do trackdays? |

Personally I think it's a good idea that you keep your own insurance, Sure maybe your liability is covered automatically at a race but is your equipment?
I've never been asked for my cover, but I always have it there just in case, plus your equipment is covered during your travel & accommodation which it can't be if you rely solely on a tracks insurance. |
