Fantasy F1 Final Standings!!
Well folks as it turned out the Fantasy F1 season was as close as the real shebang. Hopefully you have all enjoyed participating (all be it it doesnt take that much effort!) and competing. If there is enough demand the competition will make a return next year, hopefully with some alterations making it more interactive, but yet with not too much work for me!
Thanks all! PS. Congratulations to RF Grand Prix Engineering, the winner of the inagural FF1 title! A place in the historybooks is yours my friend. Commisserations to Guerain "Hamilton" F1 - so near but yet so far!

Woohoo..... Well done.
I can't believe I actually bloody won a competition on this forum. This makes up for the disappointment of being crap in the predictions. Well done Racer Kyle. Nicely run competition all year round. |

Thanks for running the competition R_K. Nice to see it fairly tight at the top.

agreed, thanks for the all the good work Racer_Kyle
and of course, i would like to thank my sponsors, particularly Shell for helping Superchilli F1 in becoming a consistent midfield candidate! definitely would like to do this again next season and at some point during the offseason we should get a thread going on about these interesting interactive options you speak of. |

Well so far the changes that I would make would be:
-to perhaps allow more than one team to have the same combination of driver1/2/constructor -perhaps allow 2 components from any 1 real life team. With regards to making it more interactive, I think having a lot more races where competitors nominate one component to earn double points . We did it at Monaco this year, and it shook things up a little! I had planned to do it for the last race but sadly I never got around to it. But I think at least 4 or 5 times a season would be reasonable. Also having a mid season transfer window where you can swop one component for another of simliar value is something that I wanted to implement this year, but again never got around to. And indeed with regards to who gets first choice on teams, I think perhaps either going from the bottom up from this year's results, or else putting everyone's name in a hat and drawing randomly! Also perhaps get teams to choose just one component at a time, post it on the forum, then choose, the 2nd, post it, then the 3rd , so that teams coming late arent left with Ralf Schumacher, Yamamoto, and Force India! These are just thoughts floating around in my head and obviously there will be a suggestions thread at around January time. I'd like to be getting it set up around late February - early March if there is going to be a bit more work in setting it up Anyway, just a few ideas. Thanks for all competing and staying interested! |
