RS 1600 Escort from end of 72 onwards ran with alloy block injected BDG, essentially an F2 engine but it was mainly privateers such as Broadspeed and Zakspeed who used them. I think some earlier RS1600 Escorts may have used the FVA before the BDA/G got going.

Hmm,
Group 2 allowed them to go to 2l because Ford homologated the RS1600 at 1601 IIRC. The Alan Mann Gp 5 twin cams used the F2 engine, slightly detuned. |

Didnt 'Doc' Merrefield run a Cortina with a 4.7 ford V8 or something? Presumably before he saw the error of his ways and bought a Capri.......
