4 - 6 Hour Endurance Races?
Hi,
Does anyone know of any 4-6 hour endurance events? Our team is based in Sheffield & have already entered next years 24 hour @ Teesside as a hire kart team so were looking for somewhere to hone our skills, i know places like Buckmore will do events like this but the 300 mile trip to the deep south is a bit off putting (were northern so watford gap is legally the further were allowed to go) Many thanks in advance. |

Most Arrive & Drive centres will offer a race like this once a month or something.
Team Endurance is epic fun, good luck. |

Can I suggest you take a look at the Open Endurance Kart Championship.
http://www.openendurancechampionship.co.uk/oekc02.htm Most of the races are run at Whilton Mill, with occasional trips to Daytona Milton Keynes. Races are 4.5 hours in duration and open to any class of owner driver kart. It's a friendly and competitive series. However, both KKC and Saxon Motorsport will hire you a fully race prepared kart to compete with if you don't own an outfit. In the case of Saxon, a 250 Biland, including fuel, new tyres and entry fees, a mechanic and team awning space - all for £600! So if you have 4 drivers that's only £150 for over an hour each of racing, plus there's 45 mins practice. Not much more that something like Club 100 in cost, but with more track time and a superior kart to boot. I'll get off my soap box now, sorry... |

Actually, I should point out that KKC and Saxon are likely to charge for any accident damage, where Club 100 and other 'arrive & drive' series do not. But you will be supplied with a proper racing machine, taking nothing away from anyone else, and it will be unlike anything you have driven this side of buying you own kart!
