McRae - your opinion
As the rally of Cyprus starts this friday I was wondering what everyones views on how Colin McRae will do this year are considering he won last year, I think he stands a pretty good chance myself.

I would like to see Nicky Grist win in 2002.
However, I confess I cannot warm up to Colin McRae. A lot of this stems from the ugly things he said about Richard Burns last year when they were fighting for the championship. I loathe "trash talk" and consider that it takes away from the whole idea of sportsmanship being the highest goal of competition. Personally I have my money on Harri, but a realistic woman would have put her money on Grunholm. |

Burns and McRae are great friends and great rivals. Don't be fooled by the banter. What you call "trash talk" is just "wind up" and nobody really believes it.

If the car holds out (which it should) Colin will finish on the podium; maybe even top step.

First, McRae has to keep the bloody car on the road to finish!
If he can do that task, then a podium position is possible, but honestly, Peugeot will have to screw up not to win. They seem invincible at the moment. |

Now Colin will have to step up a bit to catch up with the top leaders of Gronholm and Burns. Cyprus, Greece and Argentina is Colin's strength in the rally schedule and that where he won three in a row before suffering crash damage in the Safari rally in which cost him points.

I think McRae could be on the podium without a doubt. A win?? Maybe, hes gonna have to be damn quick cos' those Peugeots are on fire at the moment!!!
Putting my neck firmly on the line I'll be looking at Solberg for a top three finish or maybe (gulp) even a win... |
