Just for Liz: we're discussing JV's new BAR contract on the F1 Forum and somehow came to shouting about MULLER!!.
I want to clarify this, as Liz seems to believe that our beloved star can drive anything. I said that, although we love watching him in action, Yvan would in fact be better suited to rally-style racing. Witness his ice racing record for the proof. But the main issue here is, how is he really doing in track racing? Please, please try to be objective here. Is MULLER!! really one of the quickest guys out there or is he not ideally suited to touring cars? I bring this up because we've seen that PLATO!! has been somewhat quicker in recent rounds. How would you rank the BTCC drivers from season 2000? As I said - grudges aside - be realistic here... |

I'd say that pluto is probably one of the best touring car drivers, but MULLER!! is an excellent all-rounder. He is not the fastest (as can be seen by his qualifying pace) but makes up for that by getting stuck in when required. He can also get himself out of a situation when he overcooks things and others would end up reversing up a tree...

Nah, he definitely is one of the best racers out there, mixing it with anyone at all, but it is - as is the case with so many drivers - his qualifying pace (or lack of it) which often brings him undone. Don't forget, CLELAND!! said it's best to be at the front to avoid "everone who's ever been done for reckless and drunken driving..." |

Muller can drive anything. I would love to see him on a track with TGF. In fact, this weekend when TGF was shrieking at Fisi for daring to be on the same track with him, I was imagining what would have happened had TGF got out and corked off at Muller in that handbags-at-dawn voice, (assuming that Muller had not simply shoved the Benetton back onto the track somehow and kept going) - and I imagine Herr Schumacher would have found the experience instructive.
Muller can drive ANYTHING. |

It was quite funny watching him take JC to the Vauxhall hospitality at Oulton Park by motorbike. JC was hanging on for dear life! You can imagine the sideways skids and as for the parking....

Back on topic...
It was interesting to see that at Donington, PLATO!! actually managed to outqualify both his teammates, despite being the only one with a weight penalty - the maximum at that! However, the races provided a different story. While we now know that PLATO!! is the outright fastest, there's no doubting who the best racer of the trio - possibly the entire field - is: MULLER!! And Liz, can you please not bring talk of that arse (Scum, of course) onto my Forum... |

Sorry for the bad language, Danielsun!
I just got to see the Snetterton one-hour highlights show last night. Did not hear anyone shouting "OAF!" at Thompson, did hear a lot of air horns as Muller went by but no shouting. You guys have to learn to shout louder. |

But did you realise that Muller qualified for the sprint with a buckled wheel.

I wasn't talking about just one meeting; it's seems to have been a pattern for the whole season. At least we can enjoy MULLER!!'s exploits in the races...

He's a lot of fun to watch, and sometimes he wins, and he's cute. What more can we want?

Cute?! What are you on, Liz?! Shyte, Woody thinks TK looks like a porn star, so if he looks like that, I'd hate to think what class Muller would be in...
Good thing he wears a helmet most of the time!! |

Perspective is the key.
I believe I started the MULLER!!! fan club. I like Yvan for the same reason I like Montoya, Zanardi,Cleland,Soper,Schumacher,Mansell,Valentino Rossi,Haga....and many more, they are entertaining to watch. Gimme an entertaining nutter over Menu,Reid,Hakkinen,Coulthard etc any day of the week and my airhorn will be blowin' in the wind. |

Cuteness is in the eye of the beholder.
And how does Woody know what porn stars look like - and how has she managed to see the relevant bits of TK to see if he fits the standard? On second thought, I don't want to know that. Invader, I agree with you - let there be entertainment as well as spectacular racing! |

MULLER has been our lifeline for much of this year when the racing has been boring. Nothing going on, just look for the Vauxhall and he'll be doing something to entertain ya!
I would love to see TGF drive against the touring car lot actually, what a joke that would be, but you'd have to invite back Mr. Cleland, Hoy, Harvey etc. |

Or SCUM for short...
Yeah, to get any current or recent GP driver in the Touring Car field for a race or three would be brilliant; they'd probably be like Del Boy at first ("He hit me!") then they'd get stuck in to the action, a la Moansell (sic). Action or wall, whichever comes first... |
