Depends on your definition of cheap - but I think the answer to your question is 'Yes' - go back in this thread to last summer - we discussed it then.

Chuck Haines had no documentation?! That's not like Chuck. More likely the buyer lost what Chuck gave him.

Have you tried phoning Chuck? He has a file on every car he's had going back to about 1988 when he moved home. If he sold it on about ten years ago, you could well be lucky.

Do you know anything about T460 HU10 which seems to have sold a couple of times recently on race-cars.com and which is advertised as having been very lightly raced. Last known over in Conneticut.

On HU6 was there anything on the car - e.g. scrute's stickers - that might give a clue to the history.

I have just acquired the Lola T760, which is about to undergo a full rebuild and should be out in the Derek Bell Trophy next season.
The info I have about the car indicates that in the early 1980's it ran in Libre races possibly with a BDG engine. Does anyone know if that is correct as I am considering sticking a BDG in the rear to make it a little more fun to drive.

Re the T760, Alo L ran it in FAt here in '79, then gave up on it mid-year and went back to his T460. Strange as it looked quite good to start with, winning the first race of the 're-born' Atlantic that year, admittedly in the very wet. When the better cars/drivers came on stream that year though, it struggled, I don't think the ground effects were up to much at all...

After that it was sold to Geoff Byman who ran it in 1980-81, again in Atlantic, and again none too quickly, though I suppose 'respectably'. I don't recall it ever with a BDG though. It was noted on here some time ago that Jeremy Bouckley later owned the car, maybe he put a BDG in??

Jeremy ran it mainly on the hills with an occasional sprint at Curborough. He didn't register for the British Sprint Championship so i have no specific records of the car. However I know a man who might be able to 'fill in the blanks' - I'll be back!

Hi Driftwood,
By the time I bought the chassis it had already been split from the engine and gearbox. The car had a 1500 BDA anyway which I didn't fancy. Give that the project is purely for my own enjoyment, I prefer the idea of putting in a BDG or even a Hart engine and an FT200 to give it a bit more power.
The info I have about the car does indicate that in the early 80's it ran in libre with a BDG anyway.

1500 bda is 1600 cc engine with different crank they where made for donington gt car class structure i believe only 4 or 5 ever made
it will be easier to fit bdg than hart 420r to the chassis and ft200 gearbox
i have 1 if u need it and ford adaptor plates of various gbox types PM me for more

kickstart, I agree with Chris, and what I put earlier. I don't recall the car with a BDG in Libre at all, and my sad memory is usually good on these issues !!

T462 F2 Alo Lawler

Just came across this -
- http://www.racecarsdirect.com/listin...a_T462_F2.html

Is it news - is it genuine - just thought it might tickle someone's fancy.

for what it's worth.....

I just stumbled onto this thread...and read the whole thing. Some serious detail here.

At any rate I reckon I have snaps of most, if not all, of the 460s discussed here that ran in the US and Canada in the pro series.

I even have, but haven't scanned, at least one or two of Wentz in Pierre's 460.

What I have gotten on to my flickr account can be found in my Atlantic set.....

http://www.flickr.com/photos/4668198...7623186773769/

Reality keeps getting in the way and I'm not getting to scan as much as I would like but I will eventually have a lot more of what I shot in the Atlantic series,

update

In response to a request on a different forum I have been looking for T460 snaps.

As a result I figured I'd create a 460 set on flickr.

There may be some I missed buried in my Formula Atlantic set which can be found on the page with all my sets.....
