I'm giving this to Sauber. Because I feel like it.

Red Bull was the best team, strong car, good strategy, pole, 1-2, fastest lap... The did it all.
But I'll go with Sauber too, considering the struggles in the first half of the season they are doing great. 6th and 7th is a great result. |

Sauber for punching well above their weight. Can't give it to Red Bull.....the whiff of gerrymandering is too strong.

gave it to Lotus as they seem to have decided to put all their efforts behind grosjean now rather than the turn coat Alonso

Red Bull obviously.
Despite the good showing by Lotus, they were totally outfoxed and out classed by Red Bull. |

Red Bull. They really had their thinking caps on here. A decent strategy to produce a 1-2.
Honourable mentions to Lotus and Sauber as well. |

I'm not really sure who to give this to. Switching Webber from 2 to 3 stops doesn't sit easily but they got the tyre strategy over Lotus, enabling Vettel to take the lead from Grosjean. Great to see Sauber finish 6th and 7th.

It could have been Sauber, as a prize for being so improved. But you really can't argue with 1-2 in qualifying and 1-2 in the race.

I was disappointed with Lotus and Grosjean, they seemed to settle for a safe podium rather than try and take the race by the throat. Felt the challenge faded rather than they lost because they were not fast enough. Would have loved to have given it to Lotus, who are achieving remarkable results with very little! I'm not really sure what more Romain was supposed to do? What should they have done differently - aside perhaps from reacting to Webber's early stop?

Webber 11___25____42 Vettel__14___37 Rogro___12___29 Ayse, I felt that Rogro should have been more closely following the Vettel strategy given that the Lotus is good on tyres , but he got sucked into the Webber strategy (second stop particularly), and Webber was running different aero and is subject to burning his tyres off. |

Red Bull.
Lotus dropped the ball. They should have covered one of the Bulls and gotten second, but instead they hesitated, came in too early for the second stop and got mugged badly by the Red Bulls at the end when Grosjean had much older tires than his rivals. |

Question: Why did Massa need a 3 stop strategy and Alonso only need a 2?

Hindsight. It's an amazing thing. Almost everyone does better with it. I don't know why the teams don't use it during the race.

Guess that would explain 3 visits to the pits! The stats need to be changed because a penalty drive through is not actually a pit stop. |
