2014 British GT
Considering the growth of the series in recent years (and the fact that I am bored), here's the 2014 thread a little early so people can speculate and do all that stuff before we say "look how good Jonny Adam is" again
With 2014 looking to be at least as good as 2013, here's the current entry list: GT3 - United Autosports - Audi R8 - Matt Bell, Mark Patterson GT4 - Fox Motorsport - Ginetta G55 - Jamie Stanley, Paul McNeilly - ISSY Racing - Lotus Evora - Gavan Kershaw, Ossy Yusuf - Twisted Team Parker - Ginetta G50 - Bradley Ellis, Adrian Barwick I'm guessing Trackspeed, Beechdean, MTech, Triple 888, AF + FF Corse, Century Motorsport, Ecurie Ecosse and LNT will be returning, and aren't MSport supposed to be running the Bentley? Nice to see the return of the Evora... |

Will we see Hector Lester back is what I'm wondering?

I think it's highly unlikely unfortunately
Great to see the Evora back, one of the prettiest GT4 cars for sure, and that class needs a little added variety too |

Agreed on the Evora - great looking car and the class did need some extra variety. Speaking of which did anything ever come of the rumours about Toyota GT86's for GT4? Have UA given up with the McLarens in BGT for good? Be good to see some Lambos again too and the Bentley. Looking forward to next season

In 2014 the AMOC GT4 cars are going to run at 4 events as a support race; if the GT3 class is as popular as it was in 2013 then maybe at these 4 events they should run the British GT4 class together with the AMOC series to give a stand alone GT4 race. |

I fear that, to be honest; my favourite thing about British GT that some of the international variants lack, is that defined multi class structure.

But fewer Porsches isn't. Hope Trackspeed at least hold put until the 991 GT3 arrives.

2014 calendar:
R1 - Oulton (19-21 April) R2 - Rockingham (4-5 May)* R3 - Silverstone (31 May-1 June)** R4 - Snetterton (21-22 June) R5 - Spa-Francorchamps (6-7 July) R6 - Brands Hatch (30-31 August)* R7 - Donington Park (13-14 September)* All rounds will feature 2x 1 hour races, other than * (1x 2 hour) and ** (1x 3 hour) Any news on TV coverage? I'm assuming Channel 4 will continue their weekend-after highlights programme on Saturday morning... |

Let's hope that Motors TV continue their live coverage too! I don't expect them to cover the entire series live throughout the season but it would be good to see a few events at least covered live again, the round at Donnington looked very good on TV, as much in the presentation as the actual race.

Was expecting the Bentley to be M Sport, interesting to see it looking like a true privateer effort.
Hope 888 find a good replacement for Tandy, they were a fun team to have around last season. |

Always kind of figured there would be a Bentley but happy to see it confirmed. Was a bit on the fence about Oulton after the Silverstone weekend but that's swung it for me I think.
Let's see what else is in the pipeline... |

Well, Tordoff and Onslow-Cole both said they'd like to do British GT for at least some rounds next season, and Tordoff is supposedly out of his BTCC seat.
Bentley have got Jamie Appleby and Steve Tandy, whilst AF have got John Dhillon and Aaron Scott. |

Missed it on the first passing but last week's Autosport but looks like Parker Racing have purchased two R8 Ultras to go alongside the GT4 Ginetta.
Ian Loggie/Chris Jones is one partnership - second to be announced. Can't wait to see the livery on those if they mirror the Ginetta this year. |

Yeah, I did see that; they were looking at BES as well, which seems an attractive combination of series at the moment.
Do you recall if the Audis are purchased or planned? https://www.dailysportscar.com/?p=19124 Last edited by Rodger Davies; 11 Dec 2013 at 20:18. |

Ahh, good, that'll be the exciting driver lineup referred to above then.
And good to see that they're purchased. But bad news for my eyesight/reading ability... |

That would make a lot of sense for Mike and Roald, if they were indeed two of the drivers.
However, having just started their customer programme (apparently), this could be a "99% of the way there, just need the funding" sort of "looking at". |
