A Direct and Port injected DOHC wide angle V6tt. Design from day one to be a race engine(to beat the Nissan 4.5L V8). 3.2L for P2 or 3.5L for DP(2015 NSX body DP?) |

Whats up?
With a few HPD ARX-03b on the market at the moment, Woodard isn't buying a used one!(why buy a new one at full cost when its going to be replaced in 2015 by the Coupe?)Something smells! or Are they getting the new ARX-04?(ACO waiver on the new engine?) |

Just a thought, but why DP? Why not ask to run the NSX GT500 instead? Remember that DTM tie-up Grand Am talked about?

It is a mid-engine(MR) built off a FR platform that is over weight at the moment and will most likely need performance gains(restrictor/boost) to equal Nissan and Lexus. |

A full-on Nissan vs. Honda fight in P2 would be really cool.

Its overweight because its been given a weight penalty for being mid engined. If you recall, the DP's and lmp2's are mid engined. And the rumor about them all running to the same ruleset in a few years time.

I heard about those rumor too. But I highly doubt any of the DP's aspects will make it past 2016. First off DP's are hideous haha Also their heavy and have drag compared to P2's.

Y'know, running a NSX GT500 car in both Super GT and TUSCC (with modifications) is a good and plausible solution.
Of course, I wonder if ISMA allows their 2014-spec GT500 chassis to compete there? |

In a couple years time, DTM & GT500 are going to be basically the same. DP wouldnt need to continue with their ruleset making them as fast as lmp2 since these cars are already there.

Maybe in the future, Honda will only race their NSX prototype race car, where the only differences is the aero kit for endurance (TUSCC, WEC) and sprint (Super GT, DTM).

Because the 2014 ARX-03b will have Drive By Wire and other upgrades that the older ARX-03b don't have and it looks like HPD(Honda EU and HondaASEAN)is giving support so that will help with the cost of the new car. |

SUPER GT is manly endurance with driver changes unlike DTM which is 100% sprint. Most of the races are 1000km. Im dying to see how the NSX GT500 would fare in a 24hr race

I think you'll find that there is only one 1000km race (Suzuka) the others are less than 500km, but there are driver changes. I'd like to see Super GT cars at LM too before they change to 2.0L turbo engines, not that it's going to happen though.

The problem is though is the chassis itself of the NSX GT500 car. |

The ARX was born out of the US at the behest of HPD and them alone, no other Honda division has any input nor impact on it. |

The ARX-03b that ESM and Level 5 have the old aero package2013(2014 TUSC legal),while the Woodard ARX-03b will have new 2014 aero package(2014 ACO/FIA legal in standard and Le Mans sets).
So they will have the same tub but almost everything else will be different. |

The 2012 HSV-010 used a 3.4 litre V8 sourced from the 2008 LMP2 car The 2014 NSX GT500 uses newly developed 2.0 Litre Inline-4 The 2014 Production NSX will use twinturbo V6 with a 90 degree v angle How you came to your conclusion is beyond me. |

ESM have been running DBW's since the end of last season, L5 have not because their cars have no engines. Quote:

I thought ESM was doing first tests with drive-by-wire at the TUSCC Sebring test, which is why they didn't perform well there?
