The only real news is the Bahrain addition, Fuji+Shanghai have been known for months. Not sure why they feel the need to campaign the old open top at this stage though

Indeed, looking at the lineup (especially at Ihara, Yacaman, and Patterson) this may well be something of a sales job about Oak providing a client racing package in one of the ACO backed series in 2015. |

Looking at those lineups, theyll have their Chinese drivers out in Shanghai. Pretty sure thats fanservice on top of another entry.

"IMSA Spotter Guide also returns to a Poster style format for the rest of this season as a trial."
I would have responded with the "Big Thumbs Up" emoticon but it simply wasn't big enough to convey my pleasure at this. |

Extreme Speed Motorsports have pulled the plug on the remainder of the 2014 TUSC season and are entering the 6H of Shanghai instead.

If there were no artificial sub class separations in terms of teams the points would look:
Audi 157 Toyota 139 Porsche 76 Rebellion 46 Lotus 4 |

I've always wondered which one is really better in the end, e.g. Rebellion being listed next to the manufacturers, or 1st in a list that nobody bothers to see?

Interesting to hear on MWM that Jacques Nicolet would like them to get rid of LMP-L and just call it all LMP1.
I don't know if that extends to still maintaining the separate championship or not... |

Here's that Nicolet bit via DSC

Regarding new P1 and waiting of partners... hasn't that been the case since the beginning? Last year they wanted engine partners and other things and got none. So basically still hoping and waiting since the very first announcement. Obviously Ligier's rebranding money for P2 isn't high enough for P1 cash needs on second thought, would be nice if mods can move this to Oak Racing thread, thanks -Chiana Last edited by Deleted; 25 Sep 2014 at 14:07. |

Isn't it the other way round: Kolles/Kodewa paying/have paid to use the name Lotus and put it on their cars, hoping it is/would be easier to attract investors that way?

I don't think so...
Lotus needs (well not needs but "needs") presence there anyways now that Rebellion has stopped taking their cash bags and reversed to their own liveries, and P2 is off |

In F1 the team has kept using the name despite there no longer being any kind of connection to (either, back then) Lotus. It is perplexing.

I was thinking of this when I made my comment. I don't think that Lotus has payed the F1 team after the first year of sponsoring them. But they kept the livery and name because they would rather be called Lotus than Team Enstone or Genii or whatever. Kolles could have a similar kind of deal.
