Hopefully Virgin are paying for the sponsorship in $$$ rather than product, as Charlie O'Brien found out

It's the same sort of deal Red Bull has with many of its athletes.
Give them all the product they can sell, and they get the cash.
Many athletes take it up because of the association benefits you get from having a red bull hat / helmet / board.
