Maybe they'll call it the WEC Florida 12 hours at Sebring. That's different enough to The 12 Hours of Sebring

Aaaand BAR1 is now considering the leap, although I am sure it was bound to happen seeing that all PC teams have, or at least are considering the jump up to DPi.

How would that affect the use of "le mans" in petit or mans? Probably not good to burn bridges with the organization that holds le mans, considering imsa still wants that connection. Never has seemed to be a concern from the aco, though.

Actually, a title like "Atlanta 1000" or "Ten Hours of Georgia" might feel more familiar and comfortable to a larger proportion of the locals. Also, it's not like the ACO can stop the seasoned spectators and Sportscar enthusiasts from continuing to call it "Petit Le Mans" by word-of-mouth.

The seasoned spectators and Sportscar enthusiasts don't even call it Petit Le Mans.
It's always just "Petit." |

I'm going to pretend I didn't take almost a minute to make sense of what that image said.

I'm still waiting for Starworts to 'confirm' their interest and 95% likeliness of them stepping up/returning to the Prototype class... (I feel BAR1 and the Dawson "freakshow" are in the same category.)
However, Performance Tech plans sound credible, I can see them appearing on the Rolex grid which could make for almost 15* fulltime protos in the series! * DPi (9) 3x Cadillac (AXR + WTR) 2x Joest-Mazda 2x ESM-Nissan 2x Pensek-Acura P2 (5) 2x JDC-Oreca 1x P1 Mathiasen-Ligier 1x Visit Florida-Ligier?/Multimatic? 1x Performance Tech-??? total (14) |

Beast is the right word. Hope it sounds as mean as it looks. Also hope it doesn't change massively before it races.

Overall I like it, but there's no getting around the size of that thing. Also, is #Mission8 a little weirdly too close to Porsche's Mission: Future Sportscar tagline? (probably just me i know) |

Yuck.
I dunno, maybe a change in livery would help. The red inside what used to be the kidney grills is particularly awful and really makes the "face" of it look terrible. |
