Richie Stanaway To VASC in 2018?
What about a season in Super5000? A bit of open wheeler experience doesn't go astray. Blend that in with some SuperGT races to give him a taste of sportscar racing and he should be prepared for a season in the 86s.

Sounds more like Richie's going for his Victorian Probationary Licence, rather than a paid racing gig.
Log up 120 hours driving in all conditions first. The shortened Sandown 500 would have hurt his logbook.... Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk |

He can't drive a turbohcarged car, or a V8 in some states.
So that may limit him to a Formula Ford for a little while. |

A single seater will certainly ensure he doesn't break the peer passenger rule.

Imagine how good this guy will be after a year or two developing in Super 2.
Will add Championship and at least one Bathurst to that Sandown title he won on the weekend |

His driving looks excellent but lets not get crazy, guys like Canto & Percat showed this kind of promise in their early careers too, and both had time in the dev series before graduating to the main game.

Coming late to the party as usual - Richie isn't going back OS? No opportunities or lack of being able to keep doors open? Shame, but if he's here to stay then straight into the main game. (And Simona deserves her spot too.)

You wouldn't want to race in the "World's best touring car championship" (TM Mark Skaife)?

Not sure why Mr. Mat Campbell is busy racing glorified Beetles either, when he could also be home racing in said "world's best" (TM Mark Skaife)...

Well to be fair many of the world's touring car classes are a bit of a shambles, hell even the WTCC seems like a clown game half the time.

The variety of different events that make up the championship is just one thing that sets it apart from the other. |

As an outsider, I'd agree. There's definitely room for improvement in some areas, but for spectacle nothing else really matches big noisy beasties which don't handle on rails running on tracks which are generally fairly interesting. |

the bathurst channel had a show on the waters/stanaway car in the lead up to sandown and the actual race.
Really interesting watch. But the key thing was that prior to the race, all the key people were talking Stanaway up. My observation was that its not a matter of if he is in the main game, its a matter of where. And that was before they won |
