Bottas was good. Leclerc was great. Ocon and Perez good. I’m voting for the birthday boy, for the first lap or two.

After very little deliberation....Kimi. He managed a solid fourth managing his engine and tires while waiting for chaos to occur up front where he would pounce on errors. Unfortunately, it didn't come to fruition.

Gave it to Max, although the way he was able to drive round the outside probably said more about the ability of the different cars.

It would have been easy to give it to Max for his charge through the field, but in the end he only got it up to where we would have expected. Dan-the-Man was one place (and a huge time difference) behind him despite having had front wing damage and a new nose.
I gave it to Bottas for a combination of speed and smoothness. I feel pretty ambivalent about his attitude towards team orders. On the one hand he conducted himself in an upright and honourable manner. On the other, he could end up looking like a doormat, like Barichello and Massa. |

Max, great recovery and wasted no time working his way up the field in the early laps.

Verstappen for me for those opening few laps. A real shame that he wasn't up front at the start. |

I don't believe the Sauber is better than the Haas, Force India or possibly even the Enstone on average but Monsieur Leclerc is doing wonders with it. He hadn't driven the circuit in real time before Friday and was very quickly upto speed. Class act this kid. |

Voted for Verstappen. The opening laps were very entertaining. And after watching the onboard, that was some drive by MV. Such a shame RBR decided to turn the engine down after MV's pitstop to save the engine for future races.
As for Vettel, another driver error cost him. You have to wonder if Fernando was in the Ferrari for the last two seasons how good the racing would have been. If Fernando was driving this years Ferrari, he would be leading Hamilton in the WDC for sure. The two best drivers in the two best cars would have made the last two seasons very entertaining indeed. |
