The vid that the Hoonigans did to see how fast it can accelerate in dish soap is a good watch also.

# of views doesn't warrant quality. Still it made the man millions of dollars.
Besides that, some people might accept that not everything is made for their age-group or their taste in humor. |

Just a bored man, with a huge crew and pressure from big sponsors.
Block could post a picture of himself taking a dump and millions would watch it. He is the Kim Kardashian of motorsport, and that is no bold claim. It appeals to the pretty people, and phoneaholics, but does it really do anything for rallycross, motorsport? Of course it doesn't. Just means he makes money, not a lot else. That is what his tie ins are worth, let's face it, all he is famous for is stunt driving really, he is very good at it and his films are big budget, polished Red Bull style films. Not a lot of other people could even get the road closures etc that he can, why? Because he has huge contacts from his life as a marketing man, he is a salesman and influence with certain people. Not because he is a great driver or something. He is a marketing man, not a race driver. Watch him destroying a beautiful escort Cosworth if you want to know the reality of the man. He dabbles at things, the walks away, that's all he does really. Great bloke fair enough, but his influence is on kids and street driving really, not much else. |

And he doesn't pretend to be anything else, so his company produces vids like this, because that's what pays the bills. If videos of watching grass grow would sell, he'd make that. Without asking your permission, guidance or approval.

I saw a post on Facebook last night indicating that Scott Speed is going to Subaru for the ARX next year. Did Speed get an offer he couldn't refuse, or does this suggest that VARX won't be back next year?

They must offer good contracts since they have three full-time drivers (counting in Higgins from rallying) with all of them living in different continents. |
