Gordon Sneddon and Matt Neal made the long trip out UK > Aus to drive an Audi R8 LMGT3 but sadly third driver Peter Storey binned it hard enough to put it out for the weekend in the Am drivers only P1. Sneddon and Neal never even got a lap!.

I have not seen any video yet to form an opinion, but as a marshal at the 12 hour last year, the organisation were very particular that marshals did not go onto a live track (contrary to everything we do in Europe)

According to Porsche, Pappas has fractured his right arm and pelvis.

Looks like I owe SVG an apology - the Ferrari driver has been held to be mainly responsible and has received a grid penalty. The Fazza will be (apparently) running in tomorrow morning's practice after rebuilding the front end, and getting a new bonnet couriered up overnight.

Gotta give SVG credit for legging it across a live track to check on the other guy. Could have easily gotten out the way and wait for the track team to reach him

Wow they are dropping like flies. I have never seen a race with so many crash related withdraws BEFORE the race begins. Bathurst consistently has 2-3 every year .

Srsly. It's one of the last throwbacks that is just daunting and punishes harshly for mistakes. As long as the overall product remains fun and safety can be managed, game on. The drivers and teams no what they're getting into. |

tbh, the GT3 stuff is confusing. The cars are getting faster and faster. The whole point in GT3 and the BoP system that it has is that it'd keep everyone at a level playing field, and that helps keeps costs under control. But the BoP has slowly raised the lap times too.
If there are safety concerns at Bathurst, then lets just BoP the cars down a little. Yeah nobody likes slower cars, but I'd rather have GT3 there than not, and it's not like we can argue BoP and GT3 don't go together. |

We could just be dealing with an anomaly so far. Let's see how the rest of the weekend goes. |

Stewards might be having a word with Dala Lana again after clipping a KTM.

So if he moved over, he just got off line and lost control on braking? He's far into the off by the time he comes into frame... |
