It seems odd, as presumably Liberty would contribute to any closed race? Otherwise no one would do it?
Maybe finishing the circuit is difficult at the moment? (Complete speculation on my part). A shame, I was looking forward to the seeing the new circuit. |

It would’ve been hard to fit it in to the revised calendar. It will be hard for those looking forward to seeing it’s return, but they have done the right thing by deferring to 2021 and allowing the tickets bought for this year to be valid for next year

the race wouldn’t be happening in the first place without hundreds of thousands of rabid fanboys, so to exclude them doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Interesting to see the WTCR calendar and reasoning including their thoughts on 2021 - bearing in mind F1's thoughts.

Unless there have been some very significant changes to the access roads, any form of social distancing on at the entrance to Zandvoort would be impossible, also in the roads surrounding the circuit in the town.

Interesting article here by Diester Rencken on why F1 should just bite the bullet and dump Silverstone.

I’m sure a lot of the teams would disagree. With a lot of teams based in the UK it’s easier than most to host a GP, provided they can get around the quarantine rules
