AnEmmoFan should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Sydney metro is not a hotspot according to Qld Health authorities, so Qld teams can travel back without need to undertake quarantine. If situation in Vic does not improve will likely jeopardise Townsville and Hidden Valley rounds

An idea a bit out of left field but with Victoria marching into a second wave maybe move Sandown some where safer... SA is quite safe no?

They'd be crazy to bypass the "best motorsport facility in the world". I wonder what Roger would have to say about that ?

Isn't there a quarantine for anyone going into Queensland anyway?

That’s a good question, do they have different rules in different states in terms of entering the country?

Nationally international travel is treated the same both exiting the country and arriving except if you have loads of money and a politicians ear as happened in one case in WA that was publicised.

Australian's can't get in to QLD at the moment, unless you are a QLD resident or have a negotiated a business exemption. I'm guessing Supercars will get that exemption.

However the 14 day quarantine applies if you are coming from a COVID hotspot (as declared by the QLD government) and yesterday they declared EVERYWHERE in Metro Melbourne to be a hotspot thanks to the latest outbreaks.

So as it stands at the moment I believe they can come in for any QLD event once a business exemption is negotiated, but anyone coming from Melbourne Metro (the only declared hotspot at the moment) will need to quarantine for 14 days. Those from Sydney and other places will be fine.

With the AFL having to move their game scheduled for the coming weekend because it involves a Melbourne based team, I can't see the QLD government giving the okay for Queensland team to visit Victoria.

Darwin and Townsville looking decidedly dodgy now with the situation in Victoria. I can't see either of them allowing Melbourne teams in.

And if the Queensland teams go to Victoria they have to quarantine for 14 days on return.

$4500 tickets per day and merchandise allowed.
Not sure why you would take your merchandise all that way for so few spectators.
No support categories.

The tickets are $65 for 2 day pass. The 4500 is the number of people it is capped at.Not that it is that likely to happen with the Victorian COVID outbreak.

Good one sizzle. The old shift/4 key gets 'em every time...

14 years since the Punters were in the Ducks Nuts. Must be time for another visit!

Mate you would see some changes. Ducks Nuts is long gone, the pub that was across the road is gone. The cinema next to the old Ducks Nuts closed last year.

The joint is nearly a ghost town.

Not particularly happy to see Eastern Creek three times in the calendar but well, at least this round won't be cancelled.

There are at least three different circuit layouts which with the appropriate paperwork in place could be used.

Only one potentially worth using is the short track.

The Brabham circuit lacks flow and width for decent racing.

The question is will they be used?
I have nothing against SMP, it's just a bit of shame that we won't see quite a number of tracks usually raced at in Supercars. And out of 10 rounds, 3 are held on one circuit.

I don't think they will go back there a third time, so long as the restrictions are favourable. I think EC have been told that this is the last round they are guaranteed, and that's why its being run under lights.
