I still don't see the point of the "helping hand" camera man during WTCR pre-race. But really, Ribeiro needs to go. The bloke's an idiot. |

Push to pass and fightback modes too. Bleh...
Why is there a need for all electric motorsports to be so stupidly gimmicky? |

Well, they are trying to distunguish WTCR and Pure ETCR, which actually makes marketing sense.
Both series will have their audience, so let's see how it will look The format is actually complicated |

They like to complicate, and traditional fans will not spend time watching that circus.
Paris boys are taking for granted that they will have six manufacturers at the start. So far they have two manufacturers and two tuners, one of them with a tight tight budget. |

I doubt very much this series will struggle for manufacturer support in the coming years.
Every OEM wants to be linked to the electric revolution right now, and this is the first tangible series that can offer that with cars that can look like road going models. Doesnt mean the format is anything more than terrible |

Odd calendar. Still remains to be seen if this format isn’t going to totally suck. I would have preferred regular TC racing, embracing the new tech, but without the gimmicks to try and hide the slower pace |

I think it's more about making up for the smaller expected field.

WTCR and ETCR are huge rivals.

Obviously they need to attract more manufacturers but at the same time they need a sort of demo racing to show what these cars can do. I think that the 2020 crise didn't help the grow of the championship. Anyway, there is one more constructor that want to be involved so let's see. I would like to see a proper electric touring car championship in future ![]() |

I see it too as a demo series.
