I'll admit I don't pay much attention to the FE driver market, but according to this Antonio Felix Da Costa is going to become a Porsche driver next season.

And given he's pushing hard for FE and WEC to iron out their calendar clashes, I reckon he's got a seat lined up in the JOTA Porsche. Not exactly shocking news I know.

I always thought it was a shame we didn't see Caldarelli in an LMP1 earlier in his career. And Bortolotti was absolutely rapid at Le Mans this year in his P2 debut.

Yeah it's pretty ironic that Rene Rast and Nico Muller were among the first to be announced of any '23 drivers and never even got on track.

Audi's GT3 offering seems to be in a gradual decline so I wonder if they are looking elsewhere, perhaps alongside WRT.

Alpine saying Alonso will join their LMDh team when he departs F1.

Hopefully he'll be on the grid in 2024 when it debuts. Also an interesting nugget about their development drivers. They have quite a decent crop at the moment who could be in line for sportscars.

I had wondered about that.

Hypercar/GTP also a useful place to put young single seater drivers for Alpine, Ferrari, GM, Honda etc if they can't move up. Interesting times.

I still think its incredibly sad that there is no more Team Schnitzer. Surely they would have been the choice to run the BMW LMDh...?

I'm not sure about that, surely BMW would have kept Schnitzer on in that case?

The current partnerships suggest that manufacturers are looking for teams that are more self-sufficient than Schnitzer were, seeing as they had to fold when BMW pulled the plug.

Seems to be the common approach so far. We've not had a single flashy or leftfield driver announcement. On the one hand it's great to see these sportscar and manufacturer stalwarts getting these seats. But on the other, I do like to be surprised. And I've yet to be surprised.

Endurance-Info reporting that Raffaele Marciello has signed for an Italian manufacturer in Hypercar. However, Ferrari seems to be concentrating on their current factory GT drivers to fill up the seats. Could Marciello be the Isotta Fraschini driver?

No disrespect to that programme but he's one of the top GT3 drivers in the world. He should be with a fully fledged manufacturer. Lambo would be my guess as he'd be able to test the car and race GTs next season.
