In view of Bearman's failure to establish any dominance in F2 that may not be altogether a wrong move. Another year in F2 will not create any real lack of progress in Bearman's career. He can remain a reserve for both F1 teams will some F1 pedigree. If he has an awesome second year in F2 then he will only enhance his prowess and doing some WEC in 2025 as well as F2 could be a further enhancement. After all Ferrari has Leclerc and Hamilton both on long term contracts. Bearman is 17 going on 18, so he has a lot of years left to race and a solid F2, some good Fp1 outings and some WEC would only reinforce his solidity as a reliable, consistent bet for a seat at Haas for a couple of years and then on to Ferrari as a substitute for Hamilton after his contract runs out. Putting Bearman in the Haas as a number two in 2025 and then him having a Sargent type year at Haas will not open any doors for him. |
