I've read the posts about IRL and CART both having sponsor troubles and money problems. It's a shame the two have to see one die to have one series. If the two groups would work together they have a shot to turn open wheel around and now is the perfect time to do it. I think NASCAR is about to make a huge mistake and change their point system to some shootout with the top ten drivers at the end of the season that's going to upset tons of it's fans and really ruin the racing the last quarter of the season in their series. That being said, if there was a strong series out there to compete they'd have a shot to win over some fans. Nascar is walking away from what got it to the dance and beginning to alienate it's long time fans. That being said, if you move into areas where Nascar is raping the old tracks like Richmond and Darlington then stayed in traditional open wheel markets in the US, Canada and the hot spots in Mexico you could put together one heck of a series, if marketed right.

What open wheel racing lovers like TG and OWRS need to realize is you can't pull two carts with one ox(or cash cow). But we've been over this a million times, the differences in the two groups are just too great. They can't agree on engine types, venues, marketing. They can't agree on anything really. What a shame. Maybe one of these days a really intelligent business man will get his hands on both series and run it right. Maybe Mario Andretti should call Bill Gates. Mario can sell anybody on open wheel racing and Gates is the only one in the world with enough money to actually fund a whole series with playing money. Microsoft products could be on every car. Ahhh pipe dreams.

Is this a helpful way to talk?

(Or spell, for that matter.)
