I think it summed it up nicely. There are plenty of TCR cars out there and so it could be a good series with enough cars
As you say though there was no need for the series, as there wasn’t exactly a gap waiting to be filled. There was no demand for a feeder series like the old NSCC. And yes TCT does seem like a modern Formula Saloons |

Fantastic news for the championship. Great to have a new team, and to have a name like Rob Huff involved as well. I’ll be interested to see who the second driver is....

Well it needs something like this. Hope more teams join. How I wish they would announce more drivers as well as teams. I hope the second driver is either an experienced established driver or a young hotshoe

Great news for the championship to have a name like Huff involved, and a BTCC team running them.

That makes sense, he would be good for the series. Dunno if he’s gonna appear in some car in the series?

Reading the article it doesn't look like Adam will be doing any driving in TCR. Interesting to see Cicely going for the TCR championship whilst Dynamics and Aiden Moffat are looking at the Stuart Lines alternative (I still think a combined grid is the only way of getting sufficient numbers to justify either).

Wonder who the 2nd driver will be it says they are talking to a number of drivers some BTCC race winners. Will we see a joint campaign.
It would be good if they could get Huff in a third Golf for selected events. https://www.tcraustralia.com/renault...rs-motorsport/ this article alludes to the fact that at least one Megane has been confirmed for the UK this year. |

I wouldn’t be surprised to see an ex BTCC driver in the car
Would Huff though really want to go to what is effectively a club series? Maybe, maybe not, I don’t think he cares too much about his reputation And it’s good to have more makes in the series, does a lot of help |

There is a few BTCC winners who aren't on the BTCC grid this year - Goff, Austin & M Jackson are the obvious ones. But I think we would be more likely to see Austin & Jackson in TCT if they are going to do any racing this year.

The 2018 TCR UK champ doesn't have a drive anywhere this year yet and is pretty handy in TCR Golf's.

There was a podcast I listened to where someone was interviewing Mat, and I have to say that is exactly the impression I got, which is a shame but I cant say I blame him. I think Rob Austin will be making "guest drives" in the TCT, possibly using the Alfa (even tho slightly outside of the rules) for promotional/test run purposes |

He'd get a damn sight better results in the Toyota. That Alfa was the worst prepped car in BTCC since the numpties with the Nissan Infintis.

Please enlighten us? What was so bad about the prep? Considering it was a brand new car for him and the team, he didn't do too badly. Everyone ahead of him in the championship won at least one race.

Tell us more. He’s not in a top team. Considering where they came from he did alright. Certainly a modest position in the table

How will those who have signed up to the series feel if it was canned? There is a lot at stake here
