Shame about Dyson ..... but we get Status in with a Lola and Murphy with an Oreca and Jody .
Im happy enough with that , as I dont think dysons engine is up to the job to be honest . |

the entry list is beginning to look like it could be less than full, and P1 is looking very small, if toyota don't enter two cars it will be the smallest P1 field that i can remember

This makes me hate even more Muscle milk not taking up their lmp1 entry. Their hpd is damn competitive!

Yeah it was a real shame to not see them make the trip. Maybe if they had Dyson would have stuck it out with a single car. But I don't hate them, far from it when you consider they would be battling for a top 5 at best.

Hopefully the HPD's can be quick at Spa and get on with their programs. Maybe they'll get their pace better and can actually challenge The Audi's and Toyota's. I'm hoping DOME and Pescarolo have a good showing as well. There is still a lot of interesting stories in P1.

Earlier Hindy predicted HPD to be on pole at Spa... yeah right. Privateer petrol field still has no change, especially now that Audi gets updated cars and won't have to run the same restrictions than at Sebring.
In any case there's still just one competitive HPD in the race as the Strakka entry is handicapped by mr Leventis. |

Seeing Muscle Milk at Le Mans would be great next year. I'd be positive they'd go to Le Mans next season with an auto invite. Remember this is the same team that ran the old Charouz Lola in 2008 fairly competitvely. Now that Pickett is pretty much done driving a lineup of Luhr/Graf/(1 off like Lammers or MM LMPC driver like Gidley) would be super competitive.

Unless of course dirty BoP is there to compensate the lesser efforts of the amateur driver, like was the case with mr Drayson in 2010 ALMS. Last edited by Deleted; 17 Apr 2012 at 18:57. |

OAK Racing confirm their #35 car line-up.
Bas Leinders, Maxime Martin and David Heinemeier Hansson. http://www.oak-racing.com/news-en/le...ine-up?lang=en It's another very decent line-up for LMP2. No surprise to see DHH there but wasn't expecting the Marc VDS duo to come across. Particularly excited about Martin who seems to be a real talent. |

Yes, bearing in mind the 'Pro-Am' requirement, we've got some pretty serious driver lineups in P2, and given the predominance of Lolas, HPDs, Orecas and Zyteks, not too many makeweights in the car department.
LMP2 could be a real fight this year, just so long as we don't get the kind of P2 reliability we've seen all too often in the past at distances over 1000km. Although Sebring hopefully might be a good omen, with half-a-dozen P2s making it home in or just outside the top 10 overall there... |

I think we'll see an absolute dogfight in LMP2 - the type we have become accustomed to in GT.
Hopefully this increased competition will make up somewhat for the slightly thin top class. Either way I'm still massively looking forward to the race! |

And LMP2 gets yet more manic and professional, Christophe Tinseau confirmed as third driver at TDS Racing for Le Mans.

Rusinov for Signatech , guess that means no serious Nissan involvement then !!! |

With today's announcements then I make it there are 4 places left in LMP2, some of which you can guess.
We still haven't had it confirmed who will partner Sims at Status GP. You'd assume Buurman and Stirling/some other silver driver. Also to my knowledge it's not confirmed yet who is taking the third seat at Level 5. Between Luis Diaz and Joao Barbosa. Surely Barbosa now it seems like the entry is still on course. Also the third entry at Boutsen Ginion alongside Breire/Clarke. Brendon Hartley? Everything else is filled in on my own little personal list... |

Some moves on the track today with the Dome and Oak Racing :
some pictures on Facebook here :http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...3622911&type=1 and here :http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...3622911&type=1 But this afternoon,I couldn't see the Dome because of a broken engine ( after 12 laps ) and the same problem for the Oak P1 ( same engine........ after 16 laps ). Only the 2 Oak P2 were running : http://fr.numerispace.numericable.fr...w/1346681--6-5 http://fr.numerispace.numericable.fr...w/1346681--6-5 |
