I was one of the marshals covering the joker section on the 7th Feb.

I thought the new section worked well but it was noticeable that as the drivers got used to the new section that the time difference as the day went on (and the track dried out) got less and less until by the end of the day there didnt seem to be much difference if the driver placed his car corectly to re-enter the track and was then able to stright line the new section at the end of Chessons.

I agree with the suggestion earlier that it might be necessary to make cars take a tighter line going around the joker section by making them stay more on the inside of the tarmac section just before they re-join the track as this would stop them from straight lining the re-entry and would, I feel, then ensure that there is a real 2 second difference as I understand is required.

Cant wait til the 7th....... its really exciting to see all the changes at Lydden... well done to Pat and all his team. FANTASTIC that the ERC round is back.......

I've spoken to King Arthur and he has confirmed that the Joker lap will remain as it was for the 3rd Jan - look forward to seeing you all on 7th Feb......

Hi King Arthur,

Please give us so fast as possible the pre entrylist for the Winter Series on the 7th of February. I know the entries will be closed the 1st of Februari but give us a recent list. For some teams it is the confirmation of their entryform.

Entry lists that became updated, are a hot item for everyone. Also for the ERC race in April you will have this question by teammembers, pilots, public, sponsors, webmasters, press, ...

Different updated versions with the updated date on top of the list is really the standard!

Yes this is the same Paul Coney from the 80' from Dartford.
he has just spent a fortune on the car bringing spec up to date and new engine, should be good to see him out.

Good to see Pat broguht the RS back to life, and good mix of Europeans in mod class, good to see Sterkens and De Keermacher's new cars out to play.

Also should be good to see 3 top supercar drivers out in the RX150's, Proctor, Evans and O'Donovan.

Should be a good weekend, lets pray the snow doesnt amount to much on thur and fri... otherwise it could ne an interesting and slippy day!

Well we haven't hit any other cars on stage rallies (and we have overtaken quite a few). Anyway, I did raise the same question (basically my point was "DON'T BEND IT"!!!). Martins view on the whole thing:
