It was searched for, and confiscated at the entrance.

extramundane has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!

If it was an ISC/NASCAR initiative, I suspect nobody would be bringing booze in.

Go figure, the night session is also a wet session and Falken is leading GTE

Rebellion is certainly putting Muscle Milk in their place so far this weekend.

At the risk of dragging the thread off-topic, whatever the rights and wrongs of that incident, Shimoda was hardly inexperienced (unless you count experience of specifically the ALMS or Road Atlanta)- He'd been a pretty regular fixture in that car in both it's DBA and Zytek guises for a couple of years, had at last two starts at Le Mans under his belt and won two races (Nurburgring ELMS and Laguna ALMS) in the Zytek that year.

It looks like the precip has departed the area for the rest of the weekend.

Understood. At the PLM, he was essentially an unknown to most people even with all of his successes in Europe. So, I agree that 'rookie or in-experienced' is incorrect, but he was a newbie to the North American crowd and to most of the drivers but not all. I was just recounting some of the comments heard at the time. Thanks for standing up for Shimoda, offering the background and I will drop this topic now (hopefully).

I enjoyed the discussion on this incident...well done. The horse has now been thoroughly flogged and ready for burial. But again, well done Cyb.

The race will be great to watch I think. Especially for LMP1 and GTLM. The small field of 34 cars is not that big of a deal I think because the racing machines seem to be very reliable today. I expect a very low attrition rate. I expect you'll see 25-30 cars at the finish still.

Good lap from Malucelli to slap it on GT pole.

What a pleasant broadcast this is without being yelled at.

All the options for watching the race tomorrow make it even better.

I see now way that LMPC won't be slowed down thorugh some sort of BoP rules now. Those are some quick machines around this track.

Nice lap by Jani there for pole. Comfortably ahead of Luhr and MM but let's see how they stack up on race pace in the dry.

I don't think Burgess got a fast enough lap in, looks like Dyson will start at the back. Brilliant lap by Rebellion.

Has there been any confirmation about streaming on ALMS.com or are we getting screwed?

It was confirmed during qualifying. Streaming from ALMS.com, Speed2.com, and from the FOXSports app will be available. Giggity!
