Team RNR
After looking at the calendar the team has realised that they sent the team to Kiwi land just a little bit early so the Coast Gaurd has been recalled and they have gone Tuna fishing for a week.

MIDNIGHT SPARES RACING ENTERS THE FRAY!!!!

Having procured a pale white BA Ford (with fresh tyre bank), a once famous green eyed AU and performing a quick cut/shut on a rabbit dodging #31 supercheap falc, the Midnight Spares Racing Team will make its charge from the back of the pack for glory in this years championship.

Team Manager Mick Legend indicates that by enticing Drivers Besnard and Noske from their digs at WPS with promises of Prodrive $$$ in the future, they can join veteran steerer John Bowe in this new superteam.

Following the theme of rock bands supporting V8 teams, major sponsor Midnight Oil have endorsed the fresh black paint schemes as "appropriate".

"We may be behind in the points, but at least we made the boat to NZ........look out all you front runners, Midnight Spares are on the prowl!!!!" said a proud Team Manager Mick. "And lock up your transporters".

TEAM INFO:
Drivers: Bowe, Besnard, Noske
Car: Ford
Sponsors: Midnight Oil, Shell Oil, Caltex, Mobil, Fuchs,Castrol,
Test Track: GMC400 circuit (after dark)

Seems all is not as it should be at Pukekohe in the lead up to next weekend's race. Early scouts sent by Elbows Out Racing to NZ have discovered the new pit complex is not completed yet.

Here is a pic of the new control tower and some of the intense security already in place...

PINNACLE MOTORSPORT RELEASE

After a pretty dissapointing start to the season the Pinnacle Motorsport team are hoping for better luck in NZ.

team drivers Greg Murphy and Simon Wills will be on home turf and think their cars are up to the task of Puka.

Also on the cards is a livery change for Greg murphy , he started the season without a major backer and had minor monies from Benson and Hedges, Valvoline and Mastercard.

After a legal battle in the Australian court system Pinnacle Motorsport will not be allowed to run their tabacco sponsorship from Benson and hedges (apparently it was outlawed some time ago !!!!!!)

heading to NZ we are pleased to announce that Greg Murphy will now be sponsored by BI LO supermarkets while reatining money from valvoline (and a little from B&H) as well as Mastercard and Yellow pages have also stepped up to the plate and offered some cash for Greg's car.

KFC restuarants have also chipped in in the form of their new Zinger burger because it's V8 chargde

Lets go racing boys !!!!!

TEAM KIWI ALLSTARS

Team Kiwi Allstars are proud to announce the new driver line up. Sadly our all kiwi team has to end due to some bad performances by J Richards and P Radisich. Since the team would like to remain as Team Kiwi Allstars our new drivers will have to live in NZ and become NZ citizens

New Driver line up is:

Craig Baird
Paul Morris (new driver)
Max Wilson (new driver)

DarthFalcon should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Stop Press ** Lego Racers Lineup Change ** Stop Press

Darth Falcon confirmed today the best kept secret in motorsport with the signing of Steven Richards.

"It means we have to dump the other two drivers we had from CPR, but it's good for the team, and good for the sport, and hopefully we'll be up at the pointy end and ready to buy a ticket to the end game come Bathurst!"

The change comes after a disappointing start to the season where the Ford Fiestas haven't been able to match the pace of the faster Falcons and Commodores (and the odd Mitsubishi), "The Fiesta is a rocket - we've just got to make sure we've got the right astronaut!", Darth Falcon said.

Round 3 Details:

Drivers: S Richards & Bargs (Longhurst & Dumbrell - Gone!)

Testing: Lots and lots in the car park at Woolies

Pukekohe Preparation: Learn how to pronounce Pukekohe

bugger, just change my driver line up and see my old drivers do well. If I had kept the same drivers I would have been 114 points better off.

Again Craig Baird has been the best of the drivers, while max and morris had a smashing good time.

Pukekohe Results

V8 SUPERCAR FANTASY CHAMPIONSHIP
Round 3: Pukekohe 3x100k Jetsprint

Top Ten in NZ
1 Skase Racing (00 XR8) 344
2 Oakley Team MVMotorsport (MattV) 336
3= Elbows Out Racing (Average Punter) 312
3= R&R Racing (lcfp2297) 312
3= Team Target (pete55) 312
6= Henry's Heroes (henry) 308
6= Quirky Motorsport (Dirk) 308
8 Archer Racing (Archer) 306
9 Blitzkrieg Racing (Panzer) 304
10 Team Bestfit Autosport (bestfit) 298

We're developing a trend of having one or two teams comprehensively cleaning up the opposition. At Puke it was Skase Racing bringing home the bacon (lamb?), followed reasonably closely by Oakley Team MVMotorsport, and then a gap back to the pack.

Hard Charger Award
The wild positional changes become less and less frequent as teams sort out their positions, yet Skase Racing managed to leap 14 places on the back of a fine round win. The other major movers were Oakley Team MVMotorsport and Archer Racing, both up 9.

Biggest Loser Award
There was no contest for this award at Pukekohe. Smiley Racing, WOW Racing, and Kid Racing were well and truly left in everyone elses wake, falling 18 places each. Trailing the rest was GTRMagic Racing Emporium, dropping 10 places. You'd expect better from someone with such an in-depth knowledge of this sport.
Although 6 teams failed to register 100 points, noone really deserves to be Pointed and Laughed at this round, so we'll have to make do with mocking the above teams.

(stars indicate number of rounds missed)

We have a new leader!!!! Tracy NZ Racing has taken over at the top from Temptation Island All Stars and Go The Growler Motorsport, who slip down to third behind Henry's Heroes.
This also puts the fifty-something guys in this competition in the awkward position of being beaten by a girl!

PRESS RELEASE

BLITZKRIEG RACING

Statement read by GENERAL VEIGHT, no questions will be asked, ve vill ask zee questions.

Despite the late entry of our team we are already proving our panzers....I mean cars, are the class of the field. Von RAT and Von KELLY showed they will be a force to be reckoned with for the rest of the season. We made only one mistake, we didnt count on the rain, and the drivers monocles fogged up. We forgot the demister. We are also hoping a round of the Championship will be held near the Polish border, then you will see how fast our Panzers.... cars can go.

From the scores, it seems some of us have picked the saem drivers and you will need a way of separating us before the end of the year.

Can you please forward details of your Swiss Bank account so I can arrange the required deposit???

That was the point of allowing driver changes.
5 or 6 teams all picked Ambrose and Winterbottom as drivers (I suspect they're in 12th ), but assuming they don't pick the same change drivers they'll end up different. Remember, only 3 out of 13 rounds have gone. Most will be waiting for the enduros - so far the only changes have been the mad and the desperate!

And it's a Cayman Islands account

I guess I cant get over the fact that if i had kept my driver line up I would of had another 114 points which in the standings would of taken me from 18th (where I have stayed) to 3rd

Lego Racers demand a recount!

Team principal DarthFalcon asked the WOOFESCO board today to check the batteries on their calculators.

"When I add our points from round 2 (483) to our points of round 3 (204 - Richards 168 + Bargs 36) I end up with 687"

The team is currently sitting in 32ns place with a recognised points tally of 649. "Maybe they forgot we replaced our drivers before the round," DarthFalcon said, "We are very happy with the way Steven Richards adapted to the Fiestas - they were quick out of the box and we certainly had the product to buy a ticket to the end game - it's a shame Bargs couldn't make it to the pointy end but we'll make a few changes for Darwin"

Pinnacle Motorsport would like to know how the points score is done for this championship ?

we were under the impression that it comes directly from the "alledged" real series but for some reason our points dont add up.

Could we please have an official clarrification on this matter please ?

after totally missing the race on sunday FMS has nothing to say except that bowe is pushing strong and steve really really needs to go back to biff bash if he continues to wreck the falcons. Hopefully Hidden Valley results pick up.
