Well seeing as so many champions drove the cars I could take my pick of many including Jackie Ickx, Mario Andretti, Alan Jones, Emerson Fittipaldi, Clay Regazzoni, Gunnar Nilsson etc. or even Gordon Johncock (fortunately Dick Trickle never raced in the series lol) BTW I dont intend to race it as regs preclude stuff like in cockpit drysump tank and I want to build it as original with a modest 400bhp motor as was fitted so sorry to disappoint but it will be dressed up in period graphics with an orginal drivers name not mine.

I would like to point out that what is unusual to the British is considered perfectly normal to us French. What we draw the line at is the barbiturate laced oranges favoured by some hooded and bound politicians in the past.

I have the perfect solution to the pudding problem and if you're going to be at the HSCC dinner I'll be giving a demo. Won't help JR get into a 904 though, in fact might even make it harder.

Colin.
Easiest car for the portly person to get into is 356 Porsche. G T 40 went because I was not a contortionist. Most Pre War stuff is for midgets. The Talbots are perfect. Bentleys are O K so it's a pity they drive like trucks.Had one for a month once! |

Which car is it Al? I only know of 2 others raced in the UK & wouldn't be surprised to learn that either had changed hands (for entirely different reasons). Or is it a "new" car?

Hi Colin, it's Dave Woodgate's old car, which has been sitting around unused for at least 10 years and needs a fair amount of work.
I raced against Dave at my first race meeting at Snetterton in 1999, so it will be really good seeing the car out again. |

It might need a middle initial. And maybe a "Jnr" or "Snr" suffix. I don't suppose "II" or "III" would hack it. |
