Let's see? 4.35 miles; steep hill out of Eau Rouge; long drag up Kemel straight; slight uphill round the Blanchimont area. All the downhills are steep but short and could cause a bit of tipple steer around front wheel on the tighter bends and quite a few long uphill drags to sap the energy. Hmmn, probably just doable in 2 hours 42 minutes.
I think tyre pressure could be crucial. |

Paddy asked his wife if they could try the 'wheelbarrow position'.
She said OK as long as he did not push her past Mother's house. |

Decided to have a drive up to the Yorkshire Dales yesterday afternoon as Le Jog was passing through that way. Came across them doing a test in the village of Hawes - usual eclectic mix of cars. Took a few pics although the weather was pretty miserable (as you can see in the example attached).
Probably not worth a thread on its own but if anyone is looking for a particular car let me know - might have a photo. |

Used to be the best rally for Historics. Being in Hawes the route was possibly from or going to the Buttertubs Pass, one of the best roads for a rally stage-hope it was a TC stage! |

Think they might have used Buttertubs - they don't publish the route for spectators, just control points but they did come via Clapham and then out towards Durham area I think. |

Le Jog one of the better rallies but nothing compared to Liege Rome of fifteen/ten years ago.
Pity Alan DF and Vincent were not allowed to keep it going but that helped 6 hrs. |
