I clearly see the Brembo logo on that picture and Sam explicitly mentions Brembo in his article
Anyway, another picture to clear any doubt. Last edited by gwyllion; 30 Apr 2012 at 13:15. |

Interesting to see the promotional Poster/Advert for LeMans depicts a Toyota ahead of an Audi !!!
BTW some pages back someone posted guessed manufacturing times for constructing a Carbon Chassis...I've now heard how long it actually takes and it's many, many, many more weeks more than what was suggested! |

im guessing that this is the final scheme. dont think they will change anything this year. it would look stupid if they changed now that all the promo material for lemans had been finalized with this livery |

I am just pointing out that TMG had 8 years of experience with Brembo in their F1 times. That could explain why TMG selected Brembo for the TS030.

AP racing is a group brand of brembo, i may be wrong but maybe AP brakes and brembo brakes are the same brake with just a different name.

However, i think it's very unlikely that this is the case as Toyota and Brembo has made a deal for at least a whole years supply of brakes, with a performance and safety clausel. Ei that Toyota can back out of the deal if its unsafe to race Brembo, or they just isn't effective enough! I do agree with you Qwyllion, the suggestion that Toyota have switched brake supplier even before the first race, is unrealistic. |

In Formula 1 teams sometimes use Brembo and AP calipers depending on the circuit. However, AFAIK this practice has never been applied in endurance racing. Audi and Peugeot also stuck to Brembo.

I wonder if this is just nice-speak and they had the 2nd car already being prepared. I would think so and now they will make a third car to replace the 1st one that was damaged. Since this 2nd car was to be their 2nd car, but is now their main car. And then they'll have to assemble a 3rd car be be used as their #2 car at LeMans. Looking forward to the test pictures, hope we get some with the new aero.

Its well within their rights to change if they feels they need to . Just because they used Brembo for 8 years in F1 , doesnt mean their contracted to use them all the time . And F1 has differant parameters then sportscars . When Porsche came out with the Porsche 956/962 , they used Dunlop tyres from 1982 until 1990 , then changed to Michelin . Why , cuz they could , it was a mistake for that matter , but they did . Point is , they can change as they feel fit . |

But as i said earlier. A Brembo contract has possible clauses, which will most likely be with a safety and performance mindset. But both points are correct. If Toyota wants to leave Brembo they can. But are Toyota likely to do it, No. (unless there is safety or performance issues) |

But why would one of the 'biggest car companies in the world' be cutting it so fine to produce two chassis? This is what happens when Toyota aren't racing. It leaves us to debate non-issues. |
