can we forget about Donington track management for now ?
something I noticed, now Clarke has the same bodykit as Giovanardi, previsoly it was a different one (not the 2013 spec) Rotek not running, I'm afraid they will be seconds of the pace in the first rounds, almost team HARD dejavu and being way off pace means being lapped at Brands Indy also any top speed figures from the Civic Tourer??, really curios how it compares to Jordan's hatch |

2. They're a lot closer to running than Team Hard ever were. Perhaps you should do your research on Rotek and what they've done before being so critical. It's getting very very boring. Welch didn't run and neither did Lea Wood, so what do you say about them? 3. Look on TSL Timing website, the PDF has all the details. |

Slightly OT but Dean Stoneman moving to GP3 this year means one less major player in PCCGB. Although given his robust driving style I would have thought BTCC would be more his thing.

Rob Austin's doing a season long fly on the wall coverage of his season with Pole Position Media. I found the set done by Dan Welch in particular really interesting last year. Hopefully this will be just as good. Preview here.

It was a shame that the infield wasn't accessible, I really wanted to get some shots at the Craners, so that was a little disappointing. I can see that its for the greater good though, I just hope that they can reach a point before the BTCC meeting where its all free to roam for the spectators, otherwise its going to be a bit of a scrum at other parts of the track as there will just be a lot more crowding.

As above, the spectator sections of the infield are still there, just not fenced in from the muddy parts. Even the picnic tables are still there, so a few hours work to put the fences back will make them useable. Might even be in place for the club meet this weekend.

Anyone want to wager a bet on how long it is until we see the £108 million EuroMillions winner Neil Trotter racing in the BTCC?

It may not be long but the question also brings to mind that famous quote: How do you make a small fortune in motor-racing? You start off with a big one...

True... but then £100M is a sum you'd struggle to spend. If not motor racing, then you need to have a weakness for something that flies, floats or f**ks to consume a fortune that size. I think he'll be one of the first guest drivers... and who knows, maybe Alan Gow will make a dispensation to allow an extra licence for him to compete this year. Alan Gow is a master in working the publicity machine and will find a way to make this happen.

I bet you a certain ex team owner with a revolving door on his workshop is wishing this guy had won last year.

I'm sure the interest alone on the £108m would cover your BTCC budget each year!
(I've already thought it all through you see). |

Every time I see those Ebay Motors race suits, I'm reminded of a tracksuit I had in the early 90s

Is this a Toyota unit in the United Autosport cars still?
http://www.flickr.com/photos/98129852@N08/13275435125/ I hope it is, we need more variety than just the Swindon on the grid. |
